Actress Gong Hyo Jin shared a glimpse into her busy New York schedule as she searched for furniture and interior inspiration for her U.S. home.
On April 16th, Gong Hyo Jin uploaded a new video titled “What did I wear and see in the U.S.?” to her YouTube channel “For Now, Gong Hyo Jin.” The vlog follows her as she visits various furniture stores across New York City in preparation for her home renovation.
“This time, I want to decide on all my home essentials,” she explained, walking alongside her interior designer through curated showrooms filled with sofas, lighting, tiles, and more. Despite the abundance of choices, she confessed, “It’s not going to be easy choosing, but if I have to decide quickly, I usually do.”
The next day, Gong Hyo Jin continued her search. Pointing to a fully furnished showroom, she said, “This is exactly how I’d like my living room to be. I wonder how big ours will be.” As she visited lighting and tile shops, she commented, “There’s just too much to decide when renovating a house.”

Later in the video, she unveiled her under-construction New York home. Climbing a steep staircase, she explained, “The entrance is all the way up here. We’re planning to remove these walls, this door, and even the stairs.”
Looking around the construction site, she sighed, “It’s kind of overwhelming. We’ll have to see how it transforms.” Even on the day of her return flight, Gong Hyo Jin was still attending meetings. She shared, “I didn’t even eat today. The fatigue is no joke.”
The video offered a candid look into the realities of home renovation—and the stress that comes with making every little decision.
