September is a month of celebration for Korea with one of the country's biggest holidays, Chuseok (aka the Korean Thanksgiving), taking place during the month.
To add to the holiday spirit and pay homage to age-old tradition, university students of Busan have devised a fun festival called 'Busan Hanbok Day'! On August 27, Busan City's official Facebook page announced the approaching of 'Hanbok Day,' along with a couple of photos. 'Busan's Hanbok Day' opened for the first time last year with the goal of renewing the interest of the youth in Korea's traditional wear and preserving culture.
When you reserve your tickets in advance for the event through crowdfunding, you can get perks such as a hanbok rental certificate, tickets for two free drinks, and three tickets to experience the booths that will be set up at the festival.
'Busan Hanbok Day' will open this coming September 12 at Haeundae Beach so if you are going to be in the Busan area, make sure to drop by and experience all the fun!
