Zenith Star Entertainment has stated that idol group ZEST is suffering from a number of setbacks to their promotions due to the recent rape allegations against a member.
Though the agency has already mentioned that the group's comeback has been delayed, a rep went into more detail with Osen on March 6. The rep stated, "ZEST's comeback was scheduled for April, and there were also a lot of events scheduled. However, after the headlines, we've received calls canceling them all. Their comeback has also been delayed for an indefinite amount of time."
The agency continued, "There was a Japanese program that the group was supposed to participate in. The goal was a Japanese debut, but of course, that was canceled as well."
As previously reported, YTN News stated that idol star A first met B on November 26 at a gathering with acquaintances, and two days after, they met again at her house where A raped her. B went on to claim that A attempted to rape her again after coming to her house to ask for forgiveness six days later. B revealed that she even received a text message from A's father who threatened her to settle the situation or he would turn her into the police for defamation. ZEST's agency has also clarified that the woman in question is not an idol.
