1. Types of artists (Male, Female, Solo, Group, etc.)
Out of the top 20 artists of the first half of 2013, there were surprisingly absolutely no male idol groups included. The most frequent type in the top 20 was the male solo with 6 different male artists, followed by 3 female solo artists. That was followed by 2 male duets (Leessang and Baechigi), 2 female duets (Davichi and SISTAR19), 2 male bands, and 2 female idol groups (4minute and Girls' Generation). The single mixed gender male-female duo was Akdong Musician.

2. Digital sales per label
By label, the biggest digital powerhouses were YG Entertainment (Psy, Lee Hi) and Starship Entertainment (K.Will, SISTAR) with 11% of the total sales each. Core Contents Media (Davichi) was next with 10%. Every other label shared about the same percentage after that. [Note: Gaon didn't count CJ E&M as a label in the top, most likely because it is the distributor for multiple labels.]
3. Physical sales per label
As for physical album sales, SM Entertainment (Girls' Generation, SHINee, EXO, Super Junior) was the powerhouse agency with 43% of album sales. LOEN Entertainment (INFINITE, TEEN TOP) followed next with 14%, but LOEN Entertainment is also the distributor of multiple labels.
4. Digital sales per distributor
Out of the distributors, LOEN Entertainment sold the most digital songs with a whopping 48% of the entire market. This is most likely because LOEN Entertainment owns MelOn, and has the advantage of various promotions with its artists for MelOn.
5. Physical sales per distributor
As for physical sales, KT Music dominated with 49%. KMP Holdings and KT Music recently merged, and KMP Holdings' sales for SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, and JYP Entertainment all got included for KT Music.
6. Life of songs in the top 50
Out of the songs that had ranked at #1 at one time, the longest lasting song in the top 50 list were Baechigi's "Shower of Tears" and Davichi's "Turtle" as they were on the charts for 15 weeks each. B2ST's "Will You Be Okay?" lasted the shortest out of the #1 songs with only 6 weeks in the top 50. [4minute's "What's Your Name?", Huh Gak and Eunji's "Short Hair", SISTAR's "Give It To Me", and Lee Seung Chul's "My Love" were excluded because they're still in the top 50 charts.]
