T- ara's Boram and D-Unit's Ram's singer father Jun Young Rok shocked viewers by talking about his battle with cancer for the first time ever through TVChosun's 'Inside Man'.

Jun Young Rok discussed overcoming the fight with the disease and also expressed his gratitude for his hoobae Lee Hong Ryul, saying, "Three years ago, I was diagnosed with colon cancer and rectal cancer simultaneously. Through Lee Hong Ryul's encouragement and support, I was able to overcome my cancer."

It turns out despite being diagnosed with the disease, Jun Young Rok had a hard time quitting smoking. Worried about his health, Lee Hong Ryul had persuaded him to quit by saying, "If you don't quit smoking, then I will become a smoker as well." Hearing his friend's concern, Jun Young Rok gave up smoking and worked to repair his health.



It turns out Jun Young Rok wasn't the only one thankful for the two's friendship as Lee Hong Ryul also expressed his gratitude for his sunbae as well as friend, commenting, "When I started out as a celebrity in the past, Jun Young Rok who was already a top star at the time, helped me out."
