Brownie, the stuffed Husky from KBS 2TV's 'Gag Concert', is experiencing widespread popularity. Not only has Brownie been featured in its own music video, but it has also been swept up in "scandal" rumors when previously pictured with another dog, bringing laughs to netizens.
On its increasing popularity, comedian Jung Tae Ho said, "If the segment's popularity is 100, Brownie has all of our popularity." The segment recorded a viewer rating of 29.1%, the highest out of all 'Gag Concert' features.
The members of the segment revealed that they have even received fanmail for Brownie. One particular fan letter read, "Brownie, the reason why I like you is arf arf arf..." Also, when they went to fellow comedian Lee Seung Yoon's wedding, they were asked to step aside after putting Brownie down because the photographers wanted photos of Brownie. Even though the members of the segment have not received any CF requests themselves, Brownie himself has 2-3 CF requests and was even asked for a solo interview.
The sale of the same stuffed animal has also doubled. One online retailer said, "The sales doubled from last month. He takes up 60% of the Siberian Huskies sold. The sales are over 10 million KRW (approx 9,000 USD) per week."
