On the May 17th broadcast of OnStyle's 'Golden 12', the staff members prepared a surprise event for Lee Hyori to celebrate her birthday on May 10th.

On this episode, after being told by the staff that they heard it was her birthday, Lee Hyori humbly responded, "My birthday is just the day I was born, [it doesn't mean anything more than that]."

Right after her comment, the lights on set turned off, and a video of congratulatory messages by fellow celebrities and friends appeared on screen. The stars who wished Hyori a happy birthday included the members of 4minute, 2PM's Junho, John Park, and best friends Ahn Hye Kyung and Lee Chun Hee.

Lee Hyori began to shed tears after watching the video and stated happily, "I usually don't like these kind of things, but after experiencing it, it feels nice."

Because Lee Hyori is known for her charismatic and slightly tough personality, her tears were especially touching for viewers as they showed a softer side to the star.
