Official Synopsis: A prince from the Chosun era, Yi Gak (JYJ's Yoochun), along with his entourage, which includes Song Man Bo (Lee Min Ho), Do Chi San (Choi Woo Shik) and Woo Young Sul (Jung Seok Won), are catapulted 300 years into the future. As he attempts to investigate the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of the princess he loved, he unexpectedly finds himself in the city of Seoul in the year 2012, where he comes across a woman who looks exactly like his beloved crown princess…
Ratings: The ratings competition is heating up as SBS's 'Rooftop Prince' is trailing closely behind KBS's 'Equator Man'. On Wednesday, 'Equator Man' led with a 14.6% rating, while 'Rooftop Prince' and MBC's 'King 2 Hearts' lagged behind with a 11.1% and 11.6% respectively. However, the tables turned against 'Equator Man' on Thursday as 'Equator Man' dropped to a 12.9% rating, while 'Rooftop Prince' achieved a 12.4%, narrowing the gap between the two shows. MBC's 'King 2 Hearts' suffered another drop with a 10.2% ratings. As the gap between 'Rooftop Prince' and 'Equator Man' showed the high competition between the dramas, let's see if 'Rooftop Prince' will finally be able to reclaim its first place position.
Recap of Ep. 15: Yi Gak reveals to Park Ha (Han Ji Min) that she is Joseon Era's Bu Young, his sister-in-law. She tells Park Ha how she always told interesting stories and cracked Yi Gak's puzzles, making Park Ha happy that she was part of his Joseon life. After, Park Ha and Yi Gak decide to go on date together, leaving the three boys at home, and the happy moment is interrupted when Yi Gak fades away abruptly and reappears.
Meanwhile, Chairman Jang wonders why Se Na (Jung Yumi) and Tae Mu (Lee Tae Sung) are lying about Se Na being the daughter she is looking for. Chairman Jang thanks Park Ha for taking care of her at her house when she fell sick, and hires Park Ha as her secretary after finding out she is unemployed. Afterwards, Se Na finds out about Park Ha's employment, and suggests that Chairman Jang should vote for Tae Mu when electing the new CEO. Chairman Jang acts like she agrees with Se Na, all the while knowing about Se Na's deception. Thus, when the final vote is counted, Yi Gak instead is voted as the new CEO.
Angry, Tae Mu begins his plan to reveal Yi Gak as a con man, bringing the real Tae Young over from Chicago. However, Yi Gak and his three courtiers intercept and switch Yi Gak with the real Tae Young. While Tae Mu announces that the real Tae Young is in the hospital room to the shareholders of the company, Yi Gak sits up slowly and calls out Tae Mu's name, shocking Tae Mu with the new twist.
Recap of Ep. 16: Grandmother faints at the sight of the real "Tae Young" in the hospital, while Tae Mu is shocked by the new turn of events. Meanwhile, the three servants transfer the real Tae Young into a different hospital.
Yi Gak, acting as the real Tae Young, meets up with Tae Mu at the company and greets him in a friendly manner, comforting Tae Mu as he reveals he has little interest in taking over the company. However, Tae Mu is left shaken as he receives a fax with the words "MURDER. LIAR" and later, a photo of him and Tae Young in New York.
Meanwhile, Park Ha worries about how the three boys and Yi Gak haven't appeared, and believes they returned to the Joseon era as the 'real Tae Young' has returned. However, her sadness is turned to anger and happiness as she notices Yi Gak's quirks and the couple ring she had bought him. The two depart quickly though, knowing that Yi Gak must go on with his plan.
The birth mystery of Park Ha also heightens as Yi Gak finds the same photo of Chairman Jang and Park Ha together on Tae Mu's desk as he had seen with Park Ha. After telling Park Ha this, she goes to Tae Mu and demands to know who her mother is. Tae Mu refuses, only promising to tell her if he finds out who is blackmailing him. After Se Na mistakenly believes that Chairman Jang and Park Ha had finally reunited, she calls Tae Mu who begins his next plan.
Baiting Park Ha with new information about her mother, Tae Mu knocks out Park Ha with chloroform, locking her up in a refrigerated truck. Sending a photo of Park Ha locked up to Yi Gak, Tae Mu threatens Yi Gak, telling him to bring the phone with the New York photos or else Park Ha will freeze in the truck.
Yi Gak rushes to the scene, but stops in the middle of the road, deciding on which path to choose.

kdramacrazy's Thoughts:
[Note : This post reflects the opinions of the author, and not necessarily those of allkpop.]
The two episodes really helped the show whiz by quickly, with not too much melodrama or tears dragging us behind. Or maybe I was just so excited that both Tae Mu and Se Na (mostly Se Na) were getting what was coming to them. 'Rooftop Prince' does really well with the anticipation and tension with giving equal competition to both villian and hero. It's truly a game with no one knowing how the game will end up the winner. We're like "Oh no, Tae Mu's going to reveal the true Tae Young" to the ending point of Yi Gak's choice. Because that stop in the middle of the road totally halted all my thoughts of joy at Yi Gak saving Tae Young. Although there are little fuzzy areas and loopholes (Couldn't Yi Gak transfer all the photos to his computer with all the smartphone technology?), the overall flow of the mystery really makes the drama interesting (including of course, the funny from the three boys).
While there are moments when it's hard to follow along the fast pace with three Yoochuns running around (not that I'm complaining, especially with the new glasses style), the drama works well in tying them together. And although I was complaining about the birth secret arc, which is still a little jarring from the time travel mystery, thank you Chairman Jang for usurping Tae Mu and little miss Se Na. I'm quite interested in how this will end because there are so many little hints that viewers can tie in different ways. Will the real Tae Young ever wake up and ruin Yi Gak's impersonation before Yi Gak ruins Tae Mu? Did Princess Se Na really die in the pond? Because I'm finding it hard to believe that the drama will develop the 'Oh my gosh, Princess Hwa Young is actually evil!' part and let it go to waste as Yi Gak can't really persecute a dead princess. Maybe it was Bu Young, murdered by Hwa Young, thus Park Ha will be able to return to her rightful spot in the Joseon Era (and that's why the boys first arrived at her house)? Well, we're left with our speculations for only two more weeks now.
