Hip Hop group MIB has been selected to represent Korean artists at a famous music festival overseas.
MIB will be attending the international music conference 'K-pop Night at Music Matters 2012' which will be held at the historical Clarke Quay in Singapore on May 22nd. The members will be meeting with music professionals from all over the world, and will be holding a showcase stage for their international fans. The boys who have been selected to represent Korean artists along with Tiger JK, Bizzy, and Yoon Mirae will be standing side by side with other global hip hop giants, showcasing the hip hop music of Korea.
'Music Matters' is a showcase program being held in order to prepare some groundwork for K-pop to make it's breakthrough overseas, and has been sponsored by the Ministry of Culture as well as the Korea Creative Content Agency.
'Music Matters' is drawing major interest as it is a place for world-famous production agencies, the biggest names in the music industry, and world-famous musicians such as Jason Mraz to gather in one place. Because it is such an elite international music festival, there is a meticulous judging process in place for those applying to participate, and it is very difficult to be chosen.
The reason why MIB has been selected amongst today's hottest idol groups is because the boys are drawing an explosive amount of popularity from fans overseas. Fans from the US, France, Brazil, Japan, Thailand, and more began opening fan cafes for the boys immediately upon their debut, and MIB has already has already performed with world-famous artists will.i.am and Far*East Movement on stage.
In related news, the boys who are receiving love calls from overseas ahead of their comeback will be dropping their new single album 'Celebrate' on April 5th, and will be holding their comeback stage on Mnet's M! Countdown. Fans are highly anticipating this new album, as label mates Tiger JK, Yoon Mirae, and Bizzy have been known to actively participate in putting together their title track.
