On October 4th, MBC confirmed that they will be cancelling 'Knee-Drop Guru', their hit talk show of five years. The final episode will be a goodbye special that looks back at some of the most memorable scenes from the past five years. Until producers come up with a new program to take its place, 'Golden Fishery' will be led by 'Radio Star' alone. The final guest for the show will be CEO Choi Jong Il of 'iconix', the production company that created the hit cartoon series, 'Pororo'. His episode will broadcast on October 5th, and the very last episode of 'Knee-Drop Guru' will air on the 12th. 'Knee-Drop Guru' began in 2007 and immediately set itself apart from other talk shows ,thanks to Kang Ho Dong's ability to draw out even the toughest of answers from his guests. It maintained stable viewer ratings in the 10% area and was much-loved for its ability to bring in important figures not only in the entertainment industry, but sports stars and social/cultural figures as well. Unfortunately, Kang Ho Dong's temporary retirement from the industry destabilized the show, and producers were unable to find someone to fill his place, deciding instead to cancel the show altogether.
