CLARA C and David Choi are widely beloved on the Asian-American music scene as singer-songwriters, but they're also garnering mass respect for their big hearts. The two artists have just announced that they'll be taking part in a discussion with dozens of high school students about pursuing a career in education. In the States, about 1% of all teachers claim an Asian American or Pacific Islander background. As a response, the 'White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders' teamed up with the Department of Education to invite speakers to discuss the fulfilling career of teaching. CLARA C (a part-time teacher for autistic children) and David Choi will stop by Granada Hills Charter High School to encourage students there to consider a career in education. The discussion will also be streamed live via Ustream, which can be accessed through here. The details for the event are as follows: Date & Time: February 17th at 4PM PST Location: Granada Hills Charter High School || 10535 Zelzah Avenue, Granada Hills, California Ustream Address: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/whitehouseaapi You can submit any questions that you might have through Twitter by using the hashtag #AAPITEACH, or by emailing eddie.lee@ed.gov.
