Kim Tae Woo and Baek Ji Young have been appointed as the goodwill ambassadors for the 2009 Melon Music Awards which will be held on December 16th. The two are going to be the ambassadors for the first Melon Music Awards. Melon is a online music chart but they have just created an actual awards show to celebrate the year's music and congratulate the ones that were active and popular in 2009. Loen Entertainment's Shin Won Soo said, "The winners are determined by digital sales and because of that we picked Baek Ji Young and Kim Tae Woo. They will not just create a plain awards show but will also make the awards to be something special." On the 19th, the nominees will be announced. They are taking into account artistes that have been active from December of 2008 to October of 2009. The winners will be determined by streaming counts (30%), numbers of downloads (50%), and extra downloads such as ringtones (20%). Stay tuned to allkpop for the latest developments!
