In Seoul, near Suyu Market, a car plowed through the central divider and into a hamburger restaurant, killing a pedestrian passing by.

A black car sped down a steep road, crashing through the central divider with frightening force. The vehicle only came to a stop after plowing into a hamburger restaurant across the street.

The car crashed through the stairs, pushing all the way inside, leaving the restaurant in chaos with broken glass and shattered furniture everywhere. The impact caused the walls to collapse, and even the guardrail from the outside ended up inside the restaurant. The accident occurred on a road where only right turns were allowed, but the car drove straight, crossed over to the opposite side, and onto the sidewalk.

A witness, Shin Mi Ae, said, "Suddenly, I heard a loud ‘whoosh’ and saw the car speeding down. It flew straight into the restaurant like it had wings."

In the crash, an 80-year-old woman walking by the restaurant was hit and killed. Five others, including the 70-year-old driver, were injured.

A restaurant employee said, "I was cooking in the kitchen when I heard a huge bang. I looked outside and saw the car already inside. The customers were so scared they ran into the kitchen."

Police are investigating the exact cause of the accident after the driver receives treatment, and they plan to check if a sudden unintended acceleration was involved by sending the vehicle to the National Forensic Service for further analysis.

Earlier that morning, around 8:20 AM, another accident occurred in Cheoin District, Yongin, where a car driven by a man in his 70s swerved onto the sidewalk. In that incident, a woman in her 50s was seriously injured, and the driver sustained minor injuries.

A restaurant employee recalled, "The motorcycle parked here was flung across the area after being hit, and the glass windows shattered completely."

Police are investigating both accidents to determine the exact causes based on witness statements and driver testimonies.
