On September 20, 2024, Swiss luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet hosted an exclusive event in Singapore to unveil its latest creation—the 43 mm Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT Large Date. The event, held at Monti on the scenic Marina Bay, introduced the timepiece's innovative use of colored forged carbon material, a first for the brand.
Among the 150 distinguished guests in attendance was K-pop star Eric Nam, who joined other celebrities like Thai actor Tawan, Olympic judoka Teddy Riner, and influencer Georges Maroun Kikano. Oliviero Bottinelli, member of Audemars Piguet’s Board of Directors, Olivia Crouan, Chief Brand Officer Audemars Piguet, and Stefanie Ng, Chief Executive Officer Audemars Piguet Southeast Asia were also in attendance. The event featured a journey through the history of the Royal Oak Concept collection, starting with the first model in 2002, and showcasing iconic designs like the Royal Oak Concept Laptimer (2015) and the Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon “Spider-Man” (2023).
The highlight of the night was the unveiling of the new Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph, revealed through an impressive light show. A cryptic wall installation allowed guests to discover hidden UV messages that slowly revealed the watch’s intricate details, paying tribute to the glow-in-the-dark fibers used in the timepiece’s carbon case middle.
Guests were also invited to try the watch firsthand at an interactive hub set up at the heart of the venue. The evening continued with an electrifying party, as international DJ Stephen Day set the mood with a mix of electro, house, and hip-hop beats, keeping the crowd energized well into the night.
With its stunning reveal and star-studded guest list, Audemars Piguet once again made waves in the world of Haute Horlogerie, blending innovation, luxury, and entertainment.
