Ahn Jae Hyun recently shared a personal story about his difficult childhood during a self-barbecue outing video he posted on his channel on April 4th. In the video, Ahn visited a camping-style barbecue area and reminisced about his first camping experience.
"My first camping trip was when I was in 6th grade," Ahn recalled. "I was part of the 'Space Boy' group."
Ahn went on to reveal a more emotional part of his childhood, saying, "My family was really struggling financially, and we didn’t even have a phone at home. Because I didn’t have a phone number to put on school forms, my teacher probably thought I was a rebellious student. So, she forcibly made me join the 'Space Boy' group and treated me very strictly."
When asked if he was seen as a troublemaker back then, Ahn expressed, "I guess they thought I was a troublemaker. Since I didn’t have a phone number at home and also because of my outward appearance, people misunderstood me a lot. By the time I was able to clear up those misunderstandings, the school year had ended."
Ahn’s candid confession highlighted the difficulties he faced growing up, providing a glimpse into his past struggles with both his family’s financial hardship and the misconceptions others had about him.
