
Jo Kwon has revealed that someone impersonated him to commit monetary extortion.
On February 24, Jo Kwon posted an official statement from his agency, Archive Achim, on social media. The agency stated, "We recently received a report that Jo Kwon's personal information was obtained and used for financial extortion."
The agency explained they had hired a law firm to handle the matter. The agency emphasized, "This is a clear illegal act, and we take it very seriously. We have officially begun legal action."
The agency firmly stated that there would be no leniency or settlement, and said " We will pursue all possible legal measures against malicious criminal acts without leniency or settlement."
They also requested reports from the public, saying, "If you come across any threats, leaks of personal information, or other criminal activities involving Jo Kwon or any of our artists, please report them to us."

We have recently received a report that someone has obtained personal information about our artist Jo Kwon and used it for financial extortion.
This is a clear illegal act, and we take it very seriously. We have already appointed the law firm Hoam and have begun taking legal action.
