Former Roo'ra member Chae Ri Na is preparing for a wedding with her husband, Park Yong Geun, a decade after their marriage, and revealed the reason for the postponed ceremony.
In the recent episode of 'Lovers of Chosun,' the couple, who have been married for 10 years, shared a heartbreaking story that marked the beginning of their relationship.
While watching the VCR replay of news about the incident, Kim Ji Min immediately recognized the event and sighed while saying, "I think I know what this is. This was a huge incident."
Chae Ri Na recalled, "When Yong Geun was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, the doctors were saying there's a 1% chance he would survive." Park Yong Geun was a victim of the stabbing incident in Gangnam, Seoul.
Looking back on the painful incident, Chae Ri Na said, "At the time, I knew he liked me as an older sister. If it weren't for that feeling, we wouldn't be here today." She continued, "Fortunately, the surgery was successful, and just as he was about to be discharged from the hospital, he confessed his feelings to me."

Chae Ri Na continued to share her feelings at the time and said, "Back then, I just wanted to protect him. As we dated, our feelings deepened." Kim Ji Min agreed and added, "There's nothing more comforting than having someone by your side when you're in pain."
During the show, Chae Ri Na revealed the couple never held their wedding ceremony out of respect for the other victim who tragically lost their life in the same incident. Chae Ri Na explained, "There were victims who suffered great pain, so we decided to live quietly, not stand out. For some, this is a memory they don’t want to recall, and we didn’t want to bring it back up. But now, I think it's time for us to finally have the wedding we never had."
The Gangnam stabbing incident occurred on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at an underground pub in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea. A man who was drinking at the pub suddenly wielded a knife at people at a neighboring table, resulting in one death and three injuries. Singer Kim Sung Soo's ex-wife, Kang Ji Hee, was killed in the attack, while former KT Wiz baseball player Park Yong Geun sustained severe injuries.
