Earlier this month, during his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Adam Levine confirmed that Maroon 5 is planning a full comeback this year, revealing that they would release a single, likely by the end of the month, and an album by the summer.

On April 23, rumors involving Lisa began to surface after Maroon 5's Instagram account posted a photo of a man and a woman with their backs to the camera, both wearing black outfits and gazing at the night sky from inside a skyscraper. Several netizens believe the mysterious people in the photo resemble Adam Levine and BLACKPINK's Lisa, as it's worth noting that Lisa's build and style closely match those of the woman in the photo.

Fueling the exciting collaboration rumors, Maroon 5 has been spotted liking Lisa's recent Instagram post from Coachella Day 2. Netizens turned detectives to uncover another interesting aspect, which suggested that something might be brewing between one of Asia's biggest artists and the world's most popular boy band.

Maroon 5 photographer Travis Hartley Schneider was discovered to have started following Lisa, her record label LLOUD, and her managers Alice and Chase on Instagram. Not only that, Lisa's makeup artist, Maeng, posted an Instagram story sharing the photo of the alleged collaboration while playing the song "Lalisa" in the background, with the message: "I can't wait!"
