SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Buried Hearts' (written by Lee Myung Hee, directed by Jin Chang Kyu) released an interview with the production team on February 19, discussing the main cast and key points of the drama.
Writer Lee Myung Hee recalled the moment she heard about the main actors' casting, expressing her satisfaction by saying, "I was so happy I wanted to carry them on my back."
Park Hyungsik’s transformation as an actor is one of the highly anticipated aspects of the drama. He plays Seo Dong Joo, the head of external affairs at Daesan Group. Writer Lee expressed confidence, saying, "I am certain he will do well with his great acting skills."
Heo Jun Ho takes on the role of Yeom Jang Sun, a shadowy power figure who stands in direct opposition to Park's character. Lee Myung Hee also explained, "I have high expectations for how uniquely Heo Jun Ho will portray this villain."
Director Jin Chang Kyu also praised Park Hyungsik, saying, "In 'Buried Hearts,' he showcases a masculinity and maturity that he has never shown before."
He also credited him for contributing ideas during filming, describing him as "a meticulous and intelligent actor who constantly thinks about details. I often found new ideas coming to me while discussing scenes with him."
Jin Chang Kyu showed deep respect for Heo Jun Ho, stating, "He exudes an aura just by being present. He has truly made this once-in-a-lifetime villain role his own."
One of the drama’s key highlights is the ensemble acting of the main and supporting cast. Actors such as Lee Hae Young (as Heo Il Do), Hong Hwa Yeon (as Yeo Eun Nam), and Woo Hyun (as Cha Kang Cheon) are set to deliver intense performances.
Meanwhile, 'Buried Hearts' is a high-stakes revenge thriller about a man who hacks into a political slush fund and goes head-to-head with absolute evil. The drama premieres on February 21.
