RIIZE donates 100 million won(approximately 70,000 USD) to support children and youth in arts and culture.
K-pop group RIIZE has donated 100 million won in the name of their fan club, BRIIZE, to support arts and culture programs for underprivileged children and youth, according to the social welfare foundation Walking With Us on January 21st KST.
The donation, initiated voluntarily by the group’s members, was made to deliver warmth and hope to disadvantaged youth at the start of the new year.
Previously, RIIZE donated proceeds from the sale of “Lime-ticons,” created to celebrate their debut mini-album ‘RIIZING’, in December last year under the name of their fan club. With this latest contribution, RIIZE has cumulatively donated over 120 million won, supporting programs such as All Kids Orchestra to empower children and youth through arts and music education.
All Kids Orchestra, operated by Walking With Us, is a cultural arts program providing music education to disadvantaged children and youth, fostering their emotional and character development. The orchestra’s advanced wind band has showcased outstanding performances through various concerts and recitals, offering its participants opportunities for growth and learning through music.
This donation will fund access to cultural arts programs for children and youth from vulnerable communities. It will also support rehearsal space rentals, lessons, ensemble activities, and the hosting of annual concerts for the advanced wind band.
Beyond financial contributions, RIIZE has shown continuous support for the All Kids Orchestra. On November 20th, the group sent heartfelt messages of encouragement to the orchestra members during the 12th Annual Concert titled “What Love Tells Me”.
Additionally, RIIZE recently received positive attention for their remake of “Hug”, a track from SM Entertainment’s 30th Anniversary Commemorative Album, further demonstrating their commitment to connecting with fans and the public through music.
Kim Hyun Joo, Director of Walking With Us, expressed gratitude, stating:
“RIIZE’s warm-hearted contribution has enabled children and youth to learn music in a stable environment. We hope the stories created by RIIZE, Briize, and the All Kids Orchestra will continue to spread hope to even more people.”
