IU delights fans by singing ‘Squid Game 2’ meme song ‘Eoreum’.

Singer and actress IU perfectly covered 'Eoreum', one of the viral meme songs from 'Squid Game 2'.

On January 25th KST at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall and January 26th at CGV Yeongdeungpo, IU attended stage greetings for the opening week of her concert film 'IU Concert: The Winning', the final chapter of her first world tour in 2024. The film captures her 100th concert, 'Hereh Encore: The Winning', which took place at Seoul World Cup Stadium in September.

During the stage greeting on the 26th, IU responded to fans' requests by singing 'Eoreum', a musical-style song inspired by 'Squid Game 2'. Originally created by YouTuber Jeffpff, the song humorously transforms a scene from the series into a theatrical performance and has gained immense popularity online.

IU’s flawless rendition of 'Eoreum' quickly spread across online communities, sparking enthusiastic reactions such as "Why is she so good?" and "Her voice is so soothing."

Meanwhile, IU is set to star in the Netflix series 'When Life Gives You Tangerines', which premieres on March 7th. The drama tells the adventurous life story of Ae Soon, a bold and rebellious girl, and Gwan Sik, a devoted and hardworking boy, unfolding through the four seasons on Jeju Island.
