The fan who shared the photos explained, "I was so shocked at how pretty she was as a baby. I thought 'So this is how a pretty baby turns out to be when they grow up'." The netizen also included baby photos of Jang Won Young to support their claim that the idol is a natural beauty.

The fan added, "And I’ve seen these photos from her IZ*ONE days, yet there are still people saying she got plastic surgery. I seriously don’t get these delusional claims... She looks exactly the same! Honestly, why is there even a plastic surgery controversy about Jang Won Young? She looks the same like it’s from the same era of her career.

To be honest, these days, plastic surgery is pretty much standard for celebrities, but even if Jang Won Young did get something done, it probably wasn’t much—or maybe she didn’t get anything done at all."

Despite the fan's defense, Korean netizens are divided over Jang Won Young's plastic surgery accusation. Some netizens agree that Jang Won Young's visual did not change significantly, but others say the idol had gotten some kind of procedure over the years.
