Former Big Bang member T.O.P has been left out of 'Squid Game' Season 2 promotional materials.
As Netflix gears up for the release of 'Squid Game' Season 2 on December 26, fans are curious about T.O.P’s (Choi Seung Hyun) absence from the second main poster and the official cast list, despite earlier announcements of his involvement.
On November 27, Netflix revealed the main poster for 'Squid Game' Season 2, featuring actor Lee Jung Jae leading a group of participants running toward an unknown destination.
However, T.O.P’s face is noticeably absent among the participants. Additionally, the cast list includes Im Si Wan, Kang Ha Neul, Lee Jin Wook, Park Sung Hoon, Yang Dong Geun, Kang Ae Shim, and Jo Yu Ri, but Choi Seung Hyun’s name is nowhere to be found.
The complete cast list, which additionally features Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Wi Ha Joon, Park Gyu Young, Lee Seo Hwan, Chae Gook Hee, Lee Da Wit, Noh Jae Won, Won Ji An, and Gong Yoo, also omits T.O.P.
T.O.P enlisted as a conscripted police officer in February 2017, but during his service, it was revealed that he had smoked marijuana in 2016. This led to a 10-month prison sentence with a 2-year suspension. In June 2022, he officially departed from Big Bang.
Currently on a hiatus for self-reflection, T.O.P recently teased a possible solo comeback. When a fan asked on social media, "DOOM DADA 2.0 WHEN?" he responded, "2025," hinting at the sequel to his 2013 solo album, 'DOOM DADA,' released on November 15 of that year.
'Squid Game' Season 2 promises an intense storyline, focusing on the rivalry between Gi Hun (played by Lee Jung Jae), who returns seeking revenge by rejoining the games, and the Frontman (played by Lee Byung Hun), along with the relaunch of the deadly games.
What’s your take on T.O.P’s omission?
