Weekend concerts proceed as planned following martial law repeal.
The sudden declaration of martial law caused significant unrest in the entertainment industry, but with its repeal, weekend concerts are expected to proceed without issues. Scheduled performances by groups such as INFINITE and Dynamic Duo will continue as planned.
According to the music industry on December 4th KST, INFINITE’s 15th debut anniversary tour, ‘Limited Edition,’ set to take place at KSPO Dome (formerly Gymnastics Arena) in Seoul Olympic Park from December 6th to 8th, will proceed without any changes.
‘Limited Edition’ marks INFINITE’s second full-group performance since last year’s reunion concert after seven years. Tickets for the concert sold out immediately upon release. Although fans were concerned about potential cancellations following the sudden martial law declaration, the repeal has ensured the concert will continue as scheduled.
Similarly, Dynamic Duo’s solo concert ‘See You Occasionally for a Long Time,’ to be held at the Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park on the same dates, will also proceed without any changes. Celebrating their 20th debut anniversary, Dynamic Duo is set to hold performances in Seoul from December 6th to 8th KST and in Busan on December 21st KST.
With both INFINITE and Dynamic Duo confirming their weekend concerts, other performances scheduled for the same period are also expected to proceed smoothly. The entertainment industry, which faced turmoil due to martial law, is now regaining stability following the repeal.
Meanwhile, on the night of December 3rd at around 11 PM, President Yoon Suk Yeol declared martial law in an emergency address at the presidential office in Yongsan, Seoul. Following the declaration, the National Assembly in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, was closed and entry was restricted.
However, at 1:02 AM on December 4th, the National Assembly passed a resolution demanding the repeal of martial law with unanimous approval from 190 members. By 4:28 AM, President Yoon announced the repeal in a public address. The National Security Council then formalized the repeal, officially lifting martial law.
