G-Dragon’s new song deemed unsuitable for KBS broadcast.
On December 4th KST, KBS announced that G-Dragon’s new song ‘HOME SWEET HOME’ was deemed unsuitable for broadcast.
KBS cited violations of Article 46 of the Broadcasting Review Regulations, which restrict advertising effects, pointing to lyrics mentioning specific product brands.
KBS allows for re-evaluation if the problematic parts of the lyrics are revised or removed. If approved after re-evaluation, the song can be broadcast.
Released on November 22nd, ‘HOME SWEET HOME’ topped real-time, daily, and weekly charts on major domestic music platforms such as Melon, Genie, and Bugs upon its release.
The song has garnered particular attention as it was initially prepared as a BIGBANG track, featuring both Taeyang and Daesung.
