On December 25th, the '2024 SBS Gayo Daejun' was held at the Incheon Inspire Arena, hosted by IVE's Ahn Yu Jin, NCT's Doyoung, and TXT's Yeonjun.

As the broadcast drew to a close, G-Dragon, the most anticipated performer of the night, took the stage and captivated the audience. This marked G-Dragon's first appearance at the 'Gayo Daejun' in eight years since his performance with Big Bang in 2016. It was also his second year-end music festival appearance following his performance at the '2024 MAMA Awards' at Kyocera Dome Osaka, Japan, on November 23rd.

During the broadcast, Yeonjun introduced G-Dragon by saying, "I grew up listening to this person's songs when I was young," while Doyoung added, "This is a stage that will undoubtedly crown the finale of Gayo Daejun. G-Dragon, the irreplaceable, living legend who dominates the stage with his presence alone."

G-Dragon, welcomed with enthusiastic cheers from the audience, performed his new songs 'POWER,' with unmatched energy and charisma.

After G-Dragon's stunning finale, all 29 artists who performed that evening joined him on stage to greet the audience, creating a heartwarming conclusion to the year-end celebration.

Notably, G-Dragon was also voted number one in the 'My Favorite Idol Who Would Be My Santa Claus' poll. In his acceptance speech, G-Dragon joked, "I'm the 'favorite idol' G-Dragon chosen at the Gayo Daejun. I thought this meant I was the oldest idol. It feels like I'm still an idol," adding, "Thank you, guys. Noonas, hyungs, thank you all," bringing laughter to the audience.
