Actress Bae Doo-na showcases a side of herself we've never seen before in the new series, 'Family Plan'.
Premiering on November 29th, 'Family Plan' (creator Kim Jung-min, directors Kim Gok and Kim Sun) tells the story of a mother with a special ability to edit memories and her family, who unite to bring hell upon villains.
Bae Doo-na stars as Han Yeong-soo, a "brain hacker" who manipulates others' memories and minds through a unique technique called "brain hacking." At the same time, she is a deeply loving mother, devoted to her children, demonstrating the breadth of her acting range as she anchors the series.
Han Yeong-soo is a warm and caring mother who cherishes her family above all else, but when confronting ruthless villains, she undergoes a dramatic transformation into a cold, unrelenting human weapon. Whether she's a mother struggling with her cooking skills or a merciless avenger who warns her enemies with the chilling line, "Okay, now pay attention," Bae Doo-na captivates viewers with these sharply contrasting personas.
At a recent production presentation, Bae Doo-na shared, “Young-soo is a character whose emotions are difficult to read. She remains unshaken and seems emotionless, but she’s completely obsessed with one thing: her family.” She added, “I usually express my emotions openly, but for this role, I worked hard to suppress and hide them. There are moments when hidden emotions emerge in family-related scenes, so please look forward to those moments,” building anticipation for the drama.
Bae Doo-na has earned widespread acclaim for her diverse roles in films like 'Rebel Moon,' 'Next Sohee,' 'Broker,' and dramas like 'The Silent Sea,' 'Kingdom,' and 'Secret Forest.' In 'Family Plan,' which offers a refreshing catharsis in a unique setting, she has drawn rave reviews such as "Bae Doo-na is the genre itself," "an irreplaceable global actor," and "an actor who needs no description." Expectations remain high for her performance in this captivating drama.
