Actress Lim Ji Yeon has found herself in the midst of a heated debate after she was seen giving an enthusiastic response to Jung Woo Sung's acceptance speech, where he addressed his recent "out-of-wedlock son" scandal.

The 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards, held on November 29 at the Yeouido KBS Hall, was abuzz with Jung Woo Sung's attendance. The actor had been embroiled in controversy after it was revealed that he fathered a child with model Moon Ga Bi. Woo Sung remained silent on the issue until the day of the awards ceremony.

However, Jung Woo Sung is a key figure in this year's biggest box office hit, '12.12: The Day'. After much deliberation, he appeared at the ceremony and took to the stage with Hwang Jung Min when '12.12: The Day' won the "Most Viewed Film."

In his speech, Woo Sung stated, "I stand here today hoping that my personal matters will not tarnish the film '12.12: The Day' or those who worked on it. I sincerely apologize to everyone who has shown me love and support for causing concern and disappointment." The live broadcast captured fellow actors Lim Ji Yeon, Park Ju Hyun, and Lee Jung Ha applauding and cheering for Woo Sung, which sparked a controversy online.

Some netizens commented, "I don't understand the actors' sentiments," "It's a world of their own," "They seem different now," "Is this something to cheer for?", and "I wonder if it warrants such a reaction."

Others argued that Lim Ji Yeon, who is signed to Artist Company where Jung Woo Sung and Lee Jung Jae are directors, was simply engaging in "professional courtesy." They questioned whether she could remain expressionless towards her boss and senior in the industry. Some also pointed out that Hyeri, seated next to them, appeared less enthusiastic, which might have amplified the perceived difference in reactions.

Meanwhile, Jung Woo Sung is currently facing multiple controversies, including leaked photos, a long-term relationship with a non-celebrity, and allegations of sending flirtatious direct messages, in addition to the out-of-wedlock son scandal. His agency has maintained that these are "private matters."
