Comedian Yoo Byung Jae has finally addressed his dating rumors, confirming his relationship two weeks after initial speculation.
On the November 30 episode of MBC's variety show "Omniscient Interfering View," Byung Jae's rumored relationship became a hot topic.
Fellow cast members, like Jun Hyun Moo and Hong Hyun Hee, playfully teased him about the rumors, leading Byung Jae to declare that he in fact, has a girlfriend. He stated, "I have a girlfriend. It's not for a skit. Even people around me don't believe it. They keep asking if it's for (comedy) content. It's real love."
When Lee Young Ja inquired about how they met, Byung Jae revealed, "We met at a gathering through acquaintances."
Rumors of Byung Jae's relationship first surfaced on November 19, when a media outlet reported that he was dating a beautiful younger influencer. The report stated that the couple enjoyed dates without concern for public attention.
Byung Jae's agency, Black Paper, initially remained tight-lipped, stating, "The company has no knowledge of Yoo Byung Jae's private life." Despite expectations that the comedian, known for his active social media presence, would address the rumors directly, he remained silent.
Speculation grew that his girlfriend was Lee Yoo Jung, a contestant on TVING's "Love Catcher in Bali." Yoo Jung, born in 1997, is nine years younger than Byung Jae. She gained recognition earlier for her striking resemblance to actresses Han So Hee and Song Hye Kyo after appearing on the show in 2022.
Finally, after two weeks, Byung Jae openly confessed to his relationship on "Omniscient Interfering View," receiving heartfelt congratulations from the cast members.
