Singer Eddy Kim returns with a deeper emotional resonance and a new musical offering.
On November 5 KST, Eddy Kim’s agency Mystic Story announced the release of his digital single “TIME” through their official SNS, along with the album cover, set for release on November 8 at 6 PM KST.
The album cover reveals a surreal, dreamlike scene of a lone figure navigating through the vast universe. The imagery of a person soaring through space, surrounded by planets, conveys a sense of freedom and weightlessness, piquing curiosity about the song’s theme.
Scheduled for release on November 8, “TIME” marks Eddy Kim’s first new album in 10 months since “Track by YOON: 괜찮아지겠지” (It’ll Be Okay), a collaboration with producer Yoon Jong Shin, which delivered a message of comfort and empathy. Fans eagerly anticipate that Eddy Kim’s new album will showcase an even more profound emotional depth and unique musical appeal.
This comeback single is Eddy Kim’s first release under his own name since October 2018, nearly six years ago.
Eddy Kim halted his activities in April 2019 due to his association with the “Burning Sun” scandal. He was initially linked to Seungri of Big Bang, Choi Jonghoon of F.T Island, and singer Jung Joon Young, who were implicated in a scandal involving the illegal filming and distribution of intimate videos. However, investigations confirmed that Eddy Kim was not involved in the problematic chat room. While he was cleared of illegal filming charges, he was referred for charges related to sharing an explicit image found circulating online.
Singer Roy Kim, who received the same disposition as Eddy Kim, later joined the Marine Corps, resumed his activities after discharge, and made his comeback in October 2022.
