KATSEYE to reveal secrets on ‘Weekly Idol’ after topping K-Pop Radar chart with ‘Touch’.
KATSEYE, who recently topped the K-Pop Radar Weekly Fandom Chart with their new song Touch, is set to appear on Weekly Idol for an explosive episode filled with revelations.
On October 2nd at 6:20 p.m. KST, KATSEYE will guest on MBC M’s 'Weekly Idol', marking their exclusive appearance on a Korean variety show. Fans will get to see the group’s previously hidden sense of humor and charm.
For this special episode, AMPERSAND1’s Na Camden will serve as the special MC and interpreter, helping to translate and bridge the cultural gap for the global idol group.
During the “Short Talk! Who Are You?” segment, KATSEYE members will showcase their quick wit and humor. When asked who the “chatterbox” of the group is, Lala revealed that Sophia talks non-stop, even claiming she doesn’t sleep because she’s always chatting. Sophia defended herself, saying, “It feels suffocating if I don’t speak,” but was once again singled out as the “noisiest member.” The members humorously teased her, highlighting her energetic reactions.
Other fun segments include “Which member would you take to a public bath?” and “Filming an impromptu CF as an ambassador for a back-scratcher,” showing how well KATSEYE has adapted to Korean variety shows.
In the “Over-Immersed Karaoke” segment, the members are split into two teams for a singing challenge. The mission to sing while holding the microphone far away, dubbed the “Bluetooth singing technique,” posed a unique difficulty. Adding to the challenge were rhythm-heavy songs like Rihanna’s "Umbrella" and the vocally intricate "Love On Top" by Beyoncé, leading to an intense vocal battle.
Fans can catch the results of KATSEYE’s karaoke showdown on October 2nd at 6:20 p.m. KST on MBC M, and at midnight on MBC every1’s Weekly Idol.
