According to an exclusive media outlet report on October 25 KST, exclusive contract negotiations between (G)I-DLE's Soyeon and Cube Entertainment have ultimately fallen through. The idol has decided to part ways with her debut label and will be seeking a new agency.
It's known that Soyeon's exclusive contract with Cube Entertainment is due to expire in November, the earliest of any (G)I-DLE member. Leading up to the renewal, Soyeon was seen expressing her discontentment with Cube Entertainment, causing fans to guess that the idol did not intend on staying with the label.
Meanwhile, Soyeon debuted as a solo act in November of 2017 before debuting as a member of (G)I-DLE in May of 2018.
[UPDATE] A representative of Cube Entertainment has stepped up with the following response to the above report: "We are still discussing Soyeon's contract renewal. For now, she will continue to attend her schedules as planned."
