IU wrapped up her six-month world tour with the "2024 IU HEREH WORLD TOUR CONCERT ENCORE: THE WINNING" on the 21st and 22nd at the Seoul World Cup Stadium (Sangnam Stadium).
Alongside her grand finale, her boyfriend, actor Lee Jong Suk, was also in attendance, dispelling recent rumors of their breakup. Speculation of a breakup had been circulating due to their quiet relationship, but his presence at the concert put an end to those rumors.
With this concert, IU not only celebrated her 100th solo performance but also set a record as the first female artist to hold a concert at Sangam Stadium. The large-scale event featured fireworks, drones, and flying effects, creating a spectacular show. In particular, a display of 1,000 drones lighting up the sky above Sangam Stadium became a hot topic.
Several celebrities who attended IU's concert shared photos and reviews, drawing attention. Among the attendees were G-Dragon, BTS members V and J-Hope (currently serving in the military), Anton from the group RIIZE, actresses Go So Young, Yoo In Na, Lee Joo Young, and Kang Mi Na, among many other colleagues who came to support IU.
However, the most attention-grabbing attendee was IU's boyfriend, Lee Jong Suk. According to reports shared on online communities and social media on September 23, Lee Jong Suk watched IU's concert from a VIP skybox. Although he wore a hat and mask to cover his face, his tall figure and striking visuals made him recognizable. He was also reported to have attended the concert with long-time staff members, showing his support for IU.
The two publicly confirmed their relationship in December 2022 after long being known as colleagues. Their friendship eventually blossomed into a romance, and they are now in their second year of dating.
This wasn't the first time Lee Jong Suk attended one of IU's concerts. He was also spotted at her show in March at the KSPO DOME in Seoul Olympic Park. At the time, comedians Yoo Jae Suk, Yang Se Chan, and Park Myung Soo were also seen attending IU's concert. During that time, Lee Jong Suk was seen with actor Shin Jae Ha, holding IU's lightstick and enthusiastically supporting her performance.
For IU, this concert was especially meaningful as it marked the finale of her world tour, her 100th solo concert, and her historic achievement as the first female artist to perform at Sangam Stadium.
