A famous influencer has revealed that her life changed entirely after undergoing plastic surgery.
According to recent reports from Hong Kong media outlets like SCMP, Japanese social media influencer Hirase Airi (age 26) has spent over 24 million yen (approximately 167,065 USD) on 25 plastic surgeries since 2017.
After graduating high school, she struggled with living expenses while working part-time jobs, but her life took a new direction after her surgeries.
Now a popular influencer with millions of social media followers, Hirase Airi appears on TV variety shows, works as a model, and is the CEO of a beauty-related company. She explained, "The fact that I’m living the life I’ve always dreamed of is all thanks to the physical changes I made through plastic surgery."
Her first surgery was an eye procedure at 19 years old. Afterward, she had hyaluronic acid injections in her forehead, nose, and chin, as well as a nose augmentation. She also spent 1.7 million yen (about 11,833.74 USD) on breast augmentation.
The most expensive surgery she underwent was double jaw surgery, which cost 4.37 million yen (around 30,427 USD). She shared, "I used to be called 'horse face,' but after the surgery, my facial impression changed significantly."
In a previous interview with Japanese media, Hirase Airi spoke about her decision to get plastic surgery. "When I was younger, people used to call me cute, but by the time I was in middle school, I became so self-conscious about my appearance that I didn’t even want to look in the mirror," she said. Hirase continued, "I think the first eye surgery I had in high school gave me confidence."
She ranked the most difficult surgeries she underwent in order: double jaw surgery, breast augmentation, and forehead injections. She particularly recalled the excruciating pain and fear she experienced during the double jaw surgery, saying it felt like she might die.
Regarding her current life, she expressed, "I am very satisfied," and added, "I am living proof that a person’s life can be completely changed for the better."
Korean netizens were shocked by the influencer's life story and commented:
