BTS’s Jin and actress Ji Ye Eun are set to join the cast of the upcoming Netflix variety show ‘Daehwanjang Kianjang,’.
‘Daehwanjang Kianjang’ is a unique variety show where webtoon artist and TV personality Kian84 sets up and runs an unconventional guesthouse on Ulleungdo Island, offering a one-of-a-kind experience for the youth. The show is directed by Jung Hyo Min, known for his work on ‘Hyori’s Homestay,’ and it pairs Kian84‘s raw and natural charm, which has garnered attention through shows like ‘I Live Alone’ and ‘The Backpacker Chef,’ with Jin’s global star power.
Since his military discharge in June, Jin has been actively participating in various entertainment programs, including MBC’s ‘Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island’ and BTS’s YouTube channel content ‘Run Jin,’ where he has shown both his comedic side and deep affection for fans. His involvement in ‘Daehwanjang Kianjang’ has already sparked curiosity about how he will blend his personality with the show’s unique concept.
Joining Jin is actress Ji Ye Eun, who has been making waves with her presence on ‘SNL Korea’ on Coupang Play and as a frequent guest on popular shows like SBS’s ‘Running Man.’ Known as a “laughter cheat code,” her addition to the cast promises to bring even more humor to the show.
‘Daehwanjang Kianjang’ is centered around Kian84’s management of the guesthouse, which he operates in his own quirky way, while the young guests who visit are expected to create “chaotic chemistry” with the host. With the addition of Jin and Ji Ye Eun, the dynamic and humorous interactions are anticipated to reach new heights.
The show, which recently began filming on Ulleungdo after recruiting guests in June, is set to be released in 2025.
