IVE surprised fans by releasing a behind-the-scenes video of their performance at the 'Lollapalooza Chicago' music festival on August 27 via their official YouTube channel.
On the day of the performance, IVE members were seen preparing in their own unique ways, trying to shake off any nerves. Gaeul expressed her determination, saying, "We practiced a lot during rehearsals, so I'll set aside my worries and just enjoy the stage." Rei added, "If we enjoy ourselves, the audience will enjoy it too."
Before the show, leader Yujin took charge, gathering feedback from the members, coordinating their ideas, and discussing audience interaction strategies. The group then moved to the venue to prepare for their set. Filled with a mix of excitement and nerves, IVE did a final sound check with the live band before stepping on stage to face a packed audience.
Once on stage, any trace of nervousness disappeared as IVE delivered flawless live performances and energetic choreography, earning enthusiastic applause from the crowd. The group not only impressed with their stage presence but also engaged with the audience, leading to an overall successful show. After the performance, IVE expressed their gratitude, saying, "We're happy to be back in Chicago, and thank you for coming today."
With their knees nearly blackened from their passionate performance, the members thanked the staff backstage with bright smiles. Leeseo was particularly emotional, tearing up as she said, "I didn't expect people to know our songs, and I felt overwhelmed with mixed emotions." IVE reflected on the experience, saying, "Lollapalooza has ended. We worked really hard to prepare, and we're so glad we were able to finish successfully."
This marked IVE's first appearance at a U.S. festival, where they delivered a powerful live band performance that received praise from both domestic and international media. Following their success at 'Lollapalooza,' IVE also impressed at Japan's largest urban music festival, 'Summer Sonic 2024,' solidifying their status as global festival powerhouses.
IVE recently embarked on their first world tour, 'IVE THE 1ST WORLD TOUR 'SHOW WHAT I HAVE,' starting in October last year. The tour included 37 performances across 27 cities in 19 countries, attracting 420,000 attendees. The final shows of the tour are set to take place at Tokyo Dome on September 4 and 5. Additionally, IVE released their new Japanese mini-album 'ALIVE' on August 28.
