MC Mong to serve as executive producer for Big Planet Made's new girl group, Bad Villain.
On the 3rd, Big Planet Made Entertainment announced, "MC Mong has taken on the role of executive producer for BAD VILLIAN under the name 'Villain36.' MC Mong has poured everything he has into making Bad Villain the ultimate 5th generation girl group."
While MC Mong has previously produced solo albums and numerous artist albums, this is the first time he is launching a new group with his name prominently attached.
And
MC Mong dominated the K-pop scene in the 2000s with a string of hits such as "180 Degrees," "Circus," "A Letter to You," "Invincible," "I Love U, Oh Thank U," and "I'm Going Crazy." This underscores his exceptional ability to create music with mass appeal. Expectations are high for what the hitmaker MC Mong's girl group will look like.
Last month, on the 20th, MC Mong made a bold statement on social media, declaring, "An artist is not about money." This has sparked interest in whether MC Mong can address the chronic issues within the K-pop industry.
The response has been swift. Although BAD VILLLAIN's debut single is set to be released on the 3rd at 6 PM, they have already received an offer to hold a debut showcase in the United States. Additionally, the performance music video for BAD VILIAIN's "Hurricane," released on the 5th of last month, is approaching 3 million views.
