BIGHIT Music to take legal action to defend BTS against defamation

AKP STAFF

BIGHIT MUSIC, the management company of the global K-pop superstar BTS, has announced new legal measures to safeguard the rights of the group's members.

In a recent statement released on April 28, the company disclosed that it is stepping up its efforts to combat a recent surge in organized campaigns aimed at tarnishing and slandering BTS. This is likely in retaliation of the recent rumors going around regarding BTS and HYBE Labels' association with a cult group. Read more about that here.

According to BIGHIT MUSIC, there has been an alarming increase in malicious activities designed to defame, humiliate, and ridicule the members of BTS, as well as spread rumors and baseless information. Viewing these actions as severe violations of the artists' rights, the company has decided to engage with an additional law firm to strengthen its current legal strategies.

The company is currently conducting real-time monitoring to gather evidence of malicious postings and has vowed to maintain a zero-tolerance policy. BIGHIT MUSIC emphasized its commitment to rigorously pursuing these matters, stating that it will not consider leniency nor settlements.

The full statement reads:

"Hello.
This is BIGHIT MUSIC.

We wish to update you on the legal proceedings being taken to protect BTS members' rights.

It has come to our attention that organizational efforts aimed at tarnishing and slandering the artists have escalated in recent weeks. Furthermore, malicious attempts to defame, humiliate and ridicule the artists or spread rumors and groundless information have become excessive.

The company views these actions as severe violation to the artists' rights and will respond decisively, engaging with another law firm to reinforce our existing legal measures.

We are collecting evidence of malicious postings through real-time monitoring as we speak. We will maintain a zero-tolerance policy and pursue this matter rigorously, without leniency or settlements.

Thank you."

ARMYS and fans of HYBE groups, and even HYBE themselves have been looking really pathetic lately, like trying to save a ship that's slowly sinking
