The film "Hijacking," depicting the critical situation of an airplane hijacking, is set to meet audiences in June.
The movie has confirmed its release for June, generating excitement with a cast that instills trust, including Ha Jung-woo, Yeo Jin-goo, Sung Dong-il, and Chae Soo-bin, under the direction of Kim Seong-han and produced by Perfect Storm Film.
"Hijacking" unfolds a story set in the 1970s, a time when aircraft hijackings were rampant worldwide. It captures the desperate struggles of crew members and passengers aboard a hijacked plane, delivering breathtaking tension and immersive drama.
Ha Jung-woo plays the role of a pilot operating the hijacked aircraft. His character, Tae-in, is a former Air Force fighter pilot renowned for his exceptional flying skills and sense of responsibility. Throughout the movie, he searches for a way to overcome the perilous situation of being hijacked mid-flight.
Yeo Jin-goo takes on the role of Yong-dae, a passenger on the plane. Known for his nuanced performances in films like "Hwayi: A Monster Boy," "My Dear Desperado," and dramas like "The Cursed," "Hotel Del Luna," Yeo attempts a new transformation in "Hijacking." The intense acting chemistry between Ha Jung-woo and Yeo Jin-goo, meeting for the first time in this work, is highly anticipated.
Sung Dong-il, a versatile actor known for his deep acting skills across various genres and characters, portrays the aircraft's captain, Kyu-sik. Alongside Tae-in, Kyu-sik is responsible for the plane's operation, struggling to maintain calm and ensure a safe landing amidst the crisis, adding gravitas to the film with his solid and weighty performance.

The screenplay for the movie is written by Kim Kyung-chan, who won screenplay awards at major Korean ceremonies for "1987." The film is directed by Kim Seong-han, who has gained experience as an assistant director on numerous projects, including "1987," "Ashfall," and "Asura."
