He is spreading a desperate love story of a king who fell in love with Sejak in the tvN Saturday-Sunday drama 'Captivating the King', while also marking a sold-out record by appearing on the musical 'Hedwig' stage for the first time in 8 years. He has also started YouTube activities under a hidden identity, becoming the center of attention.

'Captivating the King' depicts the journey of Jo Jung Suk, who becomes king swept up by the whirlwind of fate, and Shin Se-kyung, who becomes the king's enemy, falling into dangerous love. Shin Se-kyung enters the palace as 'Gidaeryeong', a position to play Go with the king, to bring him down, and Jo Jung Suk, despite suspecting her identity, eventually falls in love with her as a woman and protects her from political attacks.

The drama intensifies the excitement of a political drama with the precarious love story of the two, along with the power struggle against the conspiracy forces and Jo Jung Suk. Jo Jung Suk has placed the drama at the 2nd spot of the 'TV·OTT Topic' integrated chart announced by the research company Good Data Corporation, and also secured the 2nd place in the actor category.

Outside the TV drama, he has kicked off activities on the musical and YouTube stages. He is attracting hot attention by appearing as rocker Hedwig in 'Hedwig' at the Charlotte Theater on March 22, for the first time in 8 years since 2016. The first batch of tickets was sold out immediately upon release.

Through the newly opened YouTube channel 'Cheonggyesan Daengi Records', he has released videos singing IU's 'Love Poem' and Gummy's 'Please Forget Me' under the name 'AI Jo Jung-suk'. 

Fans recognizing Jo Jung Suk by his voice and the guitar in the video have poured out interesting reactions in the comment section, saying, "It's Jo Jung-suk but can't say it's Jo Jung-suk", "There must be a reason for hiding his identity".

While the agency, JAM Entertainment, has refrained from commenting, saying, "It's not the stage to talk about (the identity) yet", anticipation is growing for various attempts to be made through the channel in the future.
