aespa's Karina recently shared that she suffered a corneal injury, leaving fans shocked by the revelation. During a live broadcast with fellow member Giselle on April 3, Karina opened up about her eye injury.
Giselle mentioned, “Karina’s eye was hurting. She kept squinting her one eye while filming yesterday.” To which Karina responded with a smile, saying, “That’s why I’ve been winking more lately.”
Karina further explained the situation, revealing that she had torn her cornea and had to wear protective lenses for a while. “I had to wear protective lenses while sleeping, and I also had to put in eye drops. When we performed on the ‘Billboard’ stage, I had to wear an eye patch, but it was too big, so I couldn’t wear it. Instead, I wore contact lenses over the protective lenses while performing on stage.”
Meanwhile, aespa recently held the encore concert for their second world tour, 'SYNK: PARALLEL LINE,' at the KSPO Dome in Seoul last month. Karina also made waves with her solo track 'UP,' which topped the music charts, proving her talents as a solo artist.
