Super Junior's Shindong confessed that his dating news last year went unnoticed due to the dating news of another celebrity couple.

Shindong appeared as a special guest in the latest episode of 'Dolsing Fourmen' that aired on January 16. In this episode, Shindong gave his account on his dating news released on January 1, 2023. 

In this episode, Shindong was introduced by MC Lee Sang Min as "The first celebrity who publically revealed that he was dating on the first day of 2023."

Shindong elaborated, "There are couples announced every year on January 1. But last year, there was a couple (IU & Lee Jong Suk) who revealed they were dating, it was revealed on December 31. Following that, my (dating news) was revealed on January 1." He continued, "Everyone commented that they don't care (about my dating news)," and expressed regret that his dating news was revealed the day after IU & Lee Jong Suk announced they were dating.

Shindong then candidly confessed, "But I think more than that is because of the remark I made in the past when I appeared on 'Strong Heart.' I think those remarks received so much attention back then, so now people leave comments such as 'Wait, isn't Shindong married?' 'Did he get divorced and is he getting married again?' or 'Is he cheating?' Even my girlfriend's parents said to me 'Shindong, didn't you get married?' and misunderstood me."

Back in 2010, Shindong made an appearance on 'Strong Heart' and stated that he was going to get married.

Shindong also shared about how he dated in secret as an idol. The MCs commented, "I don't think you can hide that you're Shindong," In response, Shindong explained, "So, I used a different way to hide. I didn't cover myself, I dressed up my girlfriend. I made her look like she was my stylist. The key is that I didn't carry anything and I made my girlfriend carry extra bags to look like my stylist."
