SM Entertainment has revealed the label's plans for 2024.
The music and concert line-up previews released by SM Entertainment below reveal what fans can expect for the first quarter of next year. According to the preview, Suho, Wendy, NCT Dream, Taeyong, and Ten are releasing mini-albums, NCT NEW TEAM, hyo, aespa, and RIIZE are releasing singles, RIIZE and NCT NEW TEAM are releasing Japanese singles, and aespa are releasing a full English album.
As for concerts, Yesung is holding a solo concert in the Philippines and Macao, SHINee in Asia, Key in Korea, NCT 127 in Asia, SMTOWN in Japan, TVXQ! in Asia, and Taemin in Japan.
However, SM Entertainment is now under fire for aespa's upcoming full English album. Criticism from fans centers around the fact that though aespa debuted in 2020 they have not released a full-length Korean album.
Fans commented, "aespa's full-length and single albums in the first quarter. Bring it. A full-length English album though," "English full-length album? They don't even have a Korean full-length album," "Are they crazy? What are they doing," "Everything would be okay if they didn't reveal plans for the English full-length album. They're going crazy after hearing the news," "I can't believe an English full-length album. They've only released mini-albums in Korea and never a Korean full-length album."

Pretty sad to see K-pop become westernised like this. I have been into K-pop for over a decade and to see groups have not only english singles but a english FULL ALBUM sounds so wrong to me. Nonetheless happy for AESPA that they are getting their full album but wish it wasn't all english. What's the point of calling it K(!!!)-pop now? If it's not even Korean.
