Kang Ha Neul and Go Min Si are teaming up for a new project: a heart-warming romantic comedy drama.
On April 11, Genie TV’s original series 'The Taste of You' (written by Jung Soo Yoon and directed by Park Dan Hee) unveiled photos from its first script reading, raising anticipation for a romance that’s expected to delight all five senses.
'The Taste of You' is a gourmet romance drama, a story set around a single-table dining experience. It follows the journey of a chaebol heir turned “recipe hunter” and a chef who runs a one-table restaurant in the countryside as they grow together, both personally and professionally.
The first script reading was attended by Creator Han Joon Hee, director Park Dan Hee, and writer Jung Soo Yoon, along with the main cast, including Kang Ha Neul, Go Min Si, Kim Shin Rok, and Yoo Soo Bin.

The reading session began in a cheerful atmosphere but soon turned focused and immersive. Each actor fully embodied their character, showing strong chemistry and coordination with one another.
Kang Ha Neul plays Han Beom Woo, the heir to a leading food conglomerate. His character is obsessed with earning three stars in the “Diamant Guide,” portraying a self-centered, perfectionist second-generation chaebol.
Go Min Si takes on the role of Chef Mo Yeon Joo, a character who prioritizes taste and quality above all. She impressed with her fluent use of dialect, bringing depth and authenticity to her performance.
Kim Shin Rok plays Kim Myung Sook, the ace of a local gukbap (soup rice) restaurant. She balances toughness with a shy charm. Yoo Soo Bin portrays Shin Choon Seung, the quirky heir to the gukbap restaurant, adding a comedic flair to the mix.
The production team shared, “Even from the script reading alone, the actors’ passion and chemistry were evident. We hope viewers will look forward to how that fantastic synergy plays out on screen.”
'The Taste of You' is set to premiere on ENA at 10 PM on May 12.
