In his latest YouTube vlog posted earlier this week on April 6 KST, musician and philanthropist Sean invited viewers, as well as some of his close celebrity friends, on a tour of South Korea's first ever Lou Gehrig's Disease Nursing Hospital, built by the Seungil Hope Foundation.
The Seungil Hope Foundation was established by former professional basketball player Park Seungil, who was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 2002, and Sean, his close friend, in 2011 with the purpose of building a hospital dedicated to the care of ALS patients and their families. Over the years, the Foundation raised approximately 23,900,000,000 (~ $16,400,000 USD) for its mission by popularizing movements such as the 'Ice Bucket Challenge' in Korea. Now, after 14 years, the hospital has finally opened to the public!
On this day, celebrities including Sean's wife Jung Hye Young, Lim Se Mi, Lee Si Woo, Jin Sun Kyu, and Park Bo Gum, members of Sean's running crew, also joined in for the tour. Sean made sure to give a shoutout to many fans who made meaningful donations to the cause. You can watch the full tour, below!
