On April 11th, ADOR, the agency behind NewJeans, released a statement following the group's recent announcement of their hiatus due to a legal dispute. In their message, NewJeans reassured fans, known as Bunnies, stating, "The sun will shine again," signaling hope for their eventual return despite the current challenges.
The group, who had initially opened a new social media account under the name 'NJZ' to continue engaging with fans, has been unable to proceed with independent activities after the court granted ADOR’s request for a temporary injunction. The injunction restricts NewJeans from carrying out activities related to their agency status, including entering into advertising contracts. As a result, the five members—Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein—changed their SNS username to 'mhdhh,' a combination of their initials.

In a heartfelt message, the members of NewJeans expressed their gratitude towards their fans, saying, "We have received the letters you sent. Each letter is precious, and we read them every day. The words of comfort, encouragement, and love you give us make us cry with emotion." They further shared, "Although we sometimes wonder if we deserve such love, we strive to be people that Bunnies can be proud of. The most strength we get comes from communicating with you, especially during these tough times."
NewJeans also expressed optimism for the future, stating, "As long as we can think about meeting Bunnies again, none of us feel too burdened. We promise that there will be a time when we can share songs you love and enjoy together."
ADOR reassured fans that NewJeans is taking good care of themselves, staying healthy, eating well, and spending time with family and each other. The group ended their message with the words, “The sun will shine again,” accompanied by a drawing of a bunny, symbolizing their connection with their fans.
While ADOR respects the court’s decision, NewJeans has filed an objection to the injunction. A hearing for the objection took place behind closed doors. Recently, there have been claims of disagreements between the parents of the members, but ADOR has denied these allegations, stating that "this is completely false."
ADOR remains committed to resolving the legal issues swiftly and ensuring that NewJeans will return to the stage stronger than ever for their loyal fans.
