Comedian Park Na Rae has recently faced disruptions in her broadcasting schedule following a theft incident that led to a police investigation.
According to exclusive reporting by TenAsia on April 15, Park Na Rae canceled a scheduled filming session for her YouTube channel Na-rae Sik. The cancellation was reportedly due to her attendance at a police investigation concerning a theft of personal belongings.
Just before the shoot, Park informed the scheduled guest of the situation and left for the police station to give her statement as the victim. As the suspect in the case was apprehended the day before, the canceled filming is expected to resume shortly.
The incident dates back to April 8, when the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul received a report from Park Na Rae's side alleging the disappearance of valuables worth tens of millions of KRW. A formal investigation was launched immediately.
On April 14, the suspect was taken into custody. Park’s representatives commented, "It appears that an arrest warrant has already been issued. We are relieved that the suspect was apprehended swiftly thanks to the rapid response of the investigative authorities, and we express our sincere gratitude for their efforts."
Amid the incident, speculation has arisen suggesting the possibility of an inside job. Park’s side firmly denied such claims, stating, “We make it clear that this is not true.” They further added, “Unfounded rumors and false information are spreading recklessly through online communities and social media. We will take strong legal action without leniency against the dissemination of such misinformation.”
