The five-piece boy group under Grid Entertainment, POW - consisting of members YORCH, HYUNBIN, JUNGBIN, DONGYEON, and HONG - kicked off the year with a single theme around Valentine's Day. 

In February, the group released the special track "Gimme Love," mirroring last year's "Valentine" for the same occasion and continuing their tradition. "I wanted to give a sense of a vow when confessing love in the chorus," said YORCH on making the track.

Following the release of "Gimme Love," allkpop sat down with POW to talk about the single, its creative process, and dream collaborations. Check out the full exclusive interview below!

allkpop: How has your 2025 been going so far? Tell us what it's like starting the year with "Gimme Love."

HYUNBIN: First of all, we are more than happy to start a year with the message that we'd like to share with POWER (POW's fandom name).

DONGYEON: We pre-released "Gimme Love," so POWER could listen to it on Valentine's Day. I was very happy to make another great memory with POWER on that special day.

allkpop: The opening line in the music video is "Even when I'm in unfamiliar places, your love gives me warmth and strength to keep going." For you, aside from your fans, what else gives you the strength or serves as a driving force for you these days?

YORCH: It is the clips of my dog. Whenever I feel tired, I often watch videos of my dog and it improves my mood. It seems like it makes me forget about my struggles.

HONG: For me, it's our members. I never get down whenever I am with them as they make me laugh. I enjoy every moment with them. They give me strength.

DONGYEON: For me, I try to look for an improvement in myself. Even the small ones help me to keep going and expect a better tomorrow.

JUNGBIN: For me, it's quite similar to what DONGYEON just said. But I think of them as a result. Seeing the results of my effort and improvement motivates me to do more.

HYUNBIN: I gain my strength from watching movies or TV shows. I get the feeling that I can overcome all the obstacles, as the main character from the show does it.

allkpop: YORCH and JUNGBIN participated in creating the track. Could you walk us through the process of writing and making the melodies for "Gimme Love"?

YORCH: Oh, first of all, I came up with the melody when I was working on "Gimme Love." I then came up with the concept and lyrics. I wanted to give a sense of a vow when confessing love in the chorus. As if you were giving a vow during a wedding, similar to "I do."

allkpop: Share with us some memorable behind-the-scenes stories from filming the music video.

HYUNBIN: I remember filming a scene under the Brooklyn Bridge with YORCH. While we were filming, we saw kids dancing to the music. I remember them being so cute that we even gave them balloons we had.

JUNGBIN: It's a fun fact. I never rode a merry-go-round. And I finally got to ride it as we were filming the music video. It was very fun.

allkpop: This year marks your group’s second anniversary. For the past two years, what do you think has been the biggest change you see in yourself?

HONG: I think I have become a person with quick judgment at work. I did not know anything at first, but as I worked in this field, I kind of see what needs to be done first and such.

DONGYEON: During the past two years, I started to get rid of my bad habit of telling myself to do things in a certain way. Instead of deciding how things should be done, I try to think of myself as a friend and ask myself, "What would you have done if you were in this situation?" And try to find the answer. It helped me to become more honest with myself.

allkpop: What are some of your dream collaborations?

YORCH: I'd like to collaborate with Justin Bieber and Tyler, the Creator. They are my idols. They are the biggest influence on me right now. They are my role models. So, I'd love to collaborate with them. I also have a K-pop artist that I want to collaborate with. I'd like to collaborate with Jungkook.

HYUNBIN: As YORCH just mentioned, I'd also like to collaborate with Justin Bieber. I have been listening to the ‘Justice’ album lately. That's how much I love him as an artist, so I'd love to collaborate with him. For K-pop artists, I'd like to collaborate with G-DRAGON and TAEYANG.

JUNGBIN: I want to do a collaboration with IU. When I was in school, her music was a great source of comfort and encouragement to me. It gave me a dream to become a singer who can give comfort and support just like how she did to me. I want to become an artist just like her and do a collaboration with her.

DONGYEON: I watched a movie called "A Beautiful Life" with my members. It starred Christopher. I enjoyed watching that movie so much that I wanted to collaborate with Christopher. As for a K-pop artist, BTS was the reason that I have become a singer. So, I'd love to work with Jungkook and RM.

HONG: For me, I'd like to collaborate with SZA. And for K-Pop artists, I'd like to collaborate with j-hope from BTS.
