BLACKPINK's Rosé has been making waves not just in the music industry but also as a voice for positive influence.
On November 17th, Rosé made an appearance at a panel discussing mental health during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in California. The first lady of the United States, Jill Biden, introduced Rosé as "a global superstar who is using her platform as a force for good in the world" to the panel and thanked Rosé for accepting her invitation.
Rosé then gave a speech on mental health, sharing her personal experiences with mental health as a public figure.
Following the event, fans shared this moment and commented:
"I watched her giving a speech and she is so well-spoken. I can't imagine how nervous it must have been to give a speech in front of first ladies all around the world."
"She indeed has a strong influence, much more than I thought."
"She truly is the world-class icon."
"She is amazing. I'm surprised that the first lady of the U.S. invited her. I guess she's more well-known than I'd imagined."
"Rose speaking only the truth. She is incredible."
"It's apparent that she reads a lot because most eloquent speakers are big readers."
"She is giving a speech to the first ladies around the world?! Wow."
"Wth is YG doing? This is beyond incredible and there literally is zero publicity about this on naver."
"YG is not doing its job smh. So different from HYBE"
What better person to give speech on mental health, than a person from one of the most stressful positions in the world! Fans love Kpop idols, but they also love to crush them, they interpret every glance, every movement and can spell doom for them just with a misplaced word. And if some bully from their past pulls up a bit of a spat.....idiot sheep with talons fangs jump on them before any real evidence is presented. Good for Rose to speak about this!!! She is indeed a person in that position....judging from some of the comments here!!!
