Despite some mixed reviews, the Netflix film 'Ballerina' (directed by Lee Chung Hyeon) has been warmly received on a global scale. It clinched the top spot in Netflix's Global TOP 10 Non-English Movies, according to the platform's rankings announced on October 18. In addition to this impressive feat, the film featured in the TOP 10 list in 89 countries including Korea, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Taiwan. This achievement reflects an escalating interest in the movie. Moreover, the movie has managed to consistently dominate the number one position in Korea’s TOP 10 list for two consecutive weeks.

'Ballerina' is an exquisite yet ruthless emotional action revenge drama, revolving around the character Ok Ju (played by Jeon Jong Seo). She is a former bodyguard determined to avenge the death of her dearest friend Min Hee (played by Park Yu Rim), whom she blames Choi Pro (played by Kim Ji Hoon) for involving in their tragic ordeal. Intriguingly, the film marks the second collaboration between real-life couple, director Lee Chung Hyeon and actor Jeon Jong Seo, who previously tantalised audiences with their work on 'The Call'.
